Hi! I am Roy
I live in the heart of Eindhoven, on the Dommelstraat. Right where it's always lively, where people come together, and where there's always something going on. That suits me, because I’ve been in the hospitality industry for about forty years now. To me, it's not just work; it’s simply my life.
You might run into me at Dommel 18 or at the Philips Stadium. Places that are buzzing, where you work hard but also laugh a lot. Because in the end, it’s all about the people. A good conversation, a bit of fun, and yeah… if possible: free beer. That's still my favorite saying.
But there's another side to me as well. I finished my VWO (pre-university education), then studied mathematics at the university in Eindhoven for a year, and spent five years doing a teacher training program for mathematics. Mental arithmetic comes easily to me, and I genuinely enjoy it. That logic, that quick thinking — it’s just part of who I am.
At home, I prefer to find peace and quiet. I have two aquariums that I love to watch. It has a calming effect, just having a moment without any hustle and bustle. And when I want to relax, I like to play a game of Fishdom.
I love a good balance: working hard, but also enjoying life. Having a drink with colleagues is definitely part of that. Just sitting together, laughing, and wrapping up the day.
In the end, I'm a person of both people and numbers. Of busy settings and quiet moments. And as long as the vibe is good, I'm right where I belong.
And let’s be honest… with a little luck, the beer is free. 🍻
