You can find me daily behind the bar at Sign Language Coffee Bar. I was born deaf and have never been able to hear, but I have found my own way to communicate through the art of coffee. For me, every cup is an opportunity to connect with you in an environment where sign language is at the heart of everything we do.

I moved from Aruba to the Netherlands with my family at a young age. I am incredibly grateful for the warm welcome I received here and for the support and training that allowed me to become a professional barista. Working here gives me great joy, and I love being able to give something back to the community that helped me grow.

While I enjoy my work every day, I also have a bigger mission in mind. I am currently working on setting up a foundation to help other deaf people find their place in society and gain traction in their careers.
